HERE, THERE, WITHIN

11.06. – 13.06.2026, Reset Atelier, Brussels

From 11 to 13 June, the Austrian Fashion Association presented the exhibition HERE, THERE, WITHIN in Brussels. The project brought together works by emerging designers and fashion labels supported through the institution’s programs.

Approaching contemporary fashion as a space in which identities, cultural references, and shared histories are continuously negotiated, the exhibition foregrounded intra-European interconnectedness as a lived reality. Austrian fashion was presented as a network of designers connected to Austria through origin, education, or professional trajectories, whose practices are equally shaped by European cities such as Antwerp, Berlin, London, Paris, and Vienna.

For these designers, mobility and exchange within Europe are not merely the backdrop to their work but an integral part of their creative processes. Situated between local and global realities, they position fashion as craft, artistic reflection, and a socio-political medium capable of making cultural, social, and ecological developments visible.

The exhibition featured works by Alessandro Santi, Benedikt Simon Salchegger, Dead White Men’s Clothes, Flora Miranda, Florentina Leitner, GATTO, Hao Wu,HISU PARK, Julian Schock, Lore, Matthias Winkler, Sassa Ann van Wyk and Used To Be. The designs were presented in site-specific settings developed for each label, inviting visitors to engage with their distinct creative approaches and experience contemporary fashion as a cultural practice.

The opening evening at Reset Atelier welcomed numerous guests from the fields of fashion, art, culture, and politics. Visitors explored the exhibited works and engaged in conversations with the participating designers, who shared insights into their creative practices. The event was accompanied by a DJ line-up featuring local musicians Iced Lattina and Stella K, alongside the Austrian designer and DJ duo GATTO.

Accompanying the exhibition was a publication conceived as a visual journal, offering fragmentary glimpses into the references, research processes, and internal dialogues that shape the designers’ work.

The project was further complemented by a poster campaign across public spaces in Brussels and Antwerp, extending the presence of HERE, THERE, WITHIN beyond the exhibition venue and into the urban environment.
