The Austrian Fashion Association cordially invites you to the opening of Crop Top, Low Waist. Looking Back at Pop Culture Magazines from the Nineties and Noughties.
April 11 – May 2, 2024, AFA Space
The presentation brings together an extensive collection of internationally influential zeitgeist magazines from the 1990s and early 2000s, sourced from the archive of Subotron founder Jogi Neufeld—an “interdisciplinary initiator, mediator, and collector. As an activist, he is an archivist, hoards media history, and cannot part with it. Except for his collection of ’90s pop culture magazines. Interview i-D in your Face!”
A reading performance by Mario Soldo will open the presentation. Visitors are then invited to browse selected issues of The Face, Interview, i-D, ahead, and Street Fashion Magazine, embarking on an entertaining pop-cultural journey into the past.
