n the eighth episode of the video series HOW TO FASHION, Julia Koerner, founder of JK Design and the label JK 3D, discusses the interplay between architecture and fashion, how new technologies can contribute to sustainable production, and the role nature plays in her designs.
Julia Koerner is an Austrian architect and designer, globally recognized as an expert in 3D printing technologies, which she applies across disciplines such as architecture, fashion, and product design. Koerner lives and works in Vienna and Los Angeles, USA.
Her studio, JK 3D, specializes in digital design for 3D printing, and with her label JK3D, Julia Koerner offers 3D-printed couture, accessories, and homeware. Koerner’s collaborations include fashion pieces developed with haute couture houses for Paris Fashion Week and Oscar-winning costumes for Hollywood films. Additionally, she teaches at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
