OSKAR CHODZINSKI x PAVLE BANOVIĆ

The Austrian Fashion Association invited creatives to apply for a two-month presentation of their work in the AFA storefronts on Lindengasse.

Following a collaboration of Vanessa Schreiner and Oskar Ott, the current display features fashion by Oskar Chodzinski, captured by Pavle Banović.

The photo series by Pavle Banović, presented here through two selected works, was created in collaboration with fashion designer Oskar Chodzinski and takes his latest collection as its starting point.

Chodzinski drew inspiration from a book on 1960s Mods as well as personal notes from his father. His designs explore the appropriation of classic garments and translate them into gestures that oscillate between hyper-masculinity, defiance, and a vulnerable desire for belonging.

Pavle Banović — whose work has been exhibited in Belgrade, Ljubljana, Vienna, and New York and has received multiple awards — translates this tension into a contemporary visual language. Their images focus on the transition into adulthood, the friction between youthful freedom and social constraint, and the negotiation of identity within restrictive structures. Through a play of poses, constrained movement, tenderness, and rebellion, Pavle creates a layered perspective on masculinity and its points of fracture.
